The How + the Why is an installation presented in three parts that each feature electronic taxidermy
creatures; an exotic butterfly, a deep sea fish, and a rare turtle. These inhabitants of air, water,
and land invoke curiosity while also causing the viewer to question what they see. Are these creatures
increasingly removed from reality or is nature actually this bizarre?
Materials: taxidermy butterflies, fish, and freeze dried turtles, arduino micro-controllers, led,
servo motors, artificial grass and flowers, moss.
